Sights on the South Shore
Spring 2002 (5/20)

At Ferry Hill Thicket in Marshfield we spied a Racoon frozen in mid-climb (heading for a snoozing perch).

This Wild Turkey took exception to our truck, or maybe us, as we drove through Marshfield.

I stopped in Hingham to try to get some photos of the male Prothonotary Warbler.
I managed a few marginal shots:

peering out of his castle,

a moment of calm,

checking out the 'hood,

keeping an eye on the sky,

and belting out a song.

Later in Hingham, another Wild Turkey tom was feeling his hormones rage.

Finally, at Turkey Hill, this Bobolink was giving it his all.
