Pine Grosbeaks

Susan and I went in search of Pine Grosbeaks today. We were successful.

In Royalston, MA, we had at least 60 Pine Grosbeaks, 10 Evening Grosbeaks, 1 Northern Shrike, and a Common Raven.

In the afternoon, we were at the headquarters for the Quabbin Reservoir and saw another six Pine Grosbeaks feeding on crabapples
(actually, crabapple seeds, as nearly as we could tell.)
