Nor'easter Birds
Parker River National Wildlife Refuge
May 25, 2005
A howling Nor'easter precipitated
a fallout of phalaropes on Plum Island this week.
Today there were at least 10 Red Phalaropes and over 20 Red-necked.
One of each:
A rather forlorn looking
Piping Plover suggested what was happening on the beach.
But the star of the show
may have been a male Ruff!
