Female
Mountain Bluebird at Concord
Wastewater Treatment Plant, 10/30/2000
This bird, first
found by Marj. Rines on Friday, 10/27, was still present on the
30th, keeping company with numerous Eastern Bluebirds, Song Sparrows,
and Yellow-rumped Warblers. These photographs, some of which were
taken through a telescope, are adequate for determining species
and gender. It was a gray and drizzly day at the sewage pits.
