Dovkie at Andrews Point,
Rockport, MA 12/18/2000

Lately there has been an incursion of Dovkies in the Cape Ann area, with 63 being reported on the Cape Ann Christmas Bird Count (12/16/2000). On 12/18, I managed to photograph this bird through my telescope, and saw 8 total in about an hour. Nice! It's been years since I've seen a Dovkie in Massachusetts.
