Some Birds
in the Newburyport Area
9/13/2000
On Plum
Island,12 Whimbrel were in the marker field,
along
two Buff-breasted Sandpipers and an American Golden Plover.
(This
plover still has a little gold on the scapulars/back)
At Hellcat,
there was a Buff-breasted on the north dike.
Across
from the Airport, a cut hay field contained 7 more Buff-breasted.
So, there
were certainly 9 Buff-breasted Sandpipers, and possibly 10.
(pretty
neat, I'd say)
