Birding the Olympic Peninsula
of Washington
September 2009
Joppa Flats Education
Center (Mass Audubon) ran a scouting trip
to the Olympic Peninsula from September 17-24, 2009. We birded
around
the Tumwater area for a day, then headed to Westport for coastal
and pelagic
birding. Next we then headed north along the Hood Canal and over
to Port Angeles.
We birded in the Olympic National Park, along the Strait of Juan
de Fuca, and then
back to Seattle along Puget Sound. We had a grand trip.
