Birding the Olympic Peninsula of Washington
September 2014

Joppa Flats Education Center, Mass Audubon

Susan Hardy and I led another Joppa trip to the Olympic Peninsula, with an added day visit to Mount Ranier National Park in the Cascades. It was a great trip!

After landing in Seattle, we birded roughly following this route: Seattle to Olympia (B), to Westport (C) and Ocean Shores (D), then along the Hood Canal north to Port Angeles (E), up into the Olympic Mountains (F), in Dungeness (G) and Port Townsend (H), back to Seattle (I), and then the final day-trip to the Sunrise area of Mount Rainier National Park (J).
