Boreal and Prairie Birding in

Minnesota and North Dakota

David Weaver and I co-lead a birding trip from the Superior National Forest in Minnesota to the prairie counties of Stutsman and Kidder in North Dakota from June 1-9, 2014. Despite variable weather and epic mosquito populations, we had a great time. Here are a few image from that trip:

Our principal birding locations were:

A, L: Duluth; B: Superior National Forest; D: Sax-Zim Bog; F: Tamarac NWR; G: Detroit Lakes; H: Felton Prairie: I: Stutsman and Kidder Counties near Jamestown; J: Maplewood State Park; and K: Aitkin County/McGregor, MN.
