A few birds on 2/20/2012
(here and there)

Of the 5 Snowy Owls we saw
on the Parker River NWR on Plum Island,
this was the closest. Oh well.

Leaving the island, we saw these two Bald Eagles copulating but
couldn't
get a photograph of the act. Here they are smoking cigarettes
and trying
to pretend that they are just casual acquaintances.

My displacement behavior was to photograph this hay stack.
Eventually the eagles
flew off, rewarding my discretion.
We finally headed up to
Odiorne State Park to look for the Cape May Warbler...
and viewing the bird in
its normal habitat...
On the way home we stopped
off at Deer Island to look for more Bald Eagles,

and got to watch this immature bird circle around.
